HIV/AIDS Awareness Mural
Rain date: Thursday April 29th.Stop by, grab a brush, and help us paint a mural.
The Sankofa Cultural Arts and Business Center has partnered with the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, local artists, business owners and community organizations to create an AIDS awareness mural in Austin, a West Side neighborhood disproportionately impacted by HIV.
The15’ x 30’ mural is entitled “A.I.D.S. –Austin Is Doing Something."
It will be located on the northeast corner of West Chicago and North Mayfield avenues, a few doors down from the Sankofa Cultural Arts and Business Center (5820 W. Chicago Avenue). We will be painting on Thursday, April 29 from 11am- 6pm. So stop by, grab a brush, and be a part of this great event.
