Wellness Wednesdays - Eat More & Lose Weight!

If you want to lose weight and are having trouble doing so, you probably aren't eating enough!

Yes, you read that correctly.  Monday, while at lunch with a coworker she shared a conversation she had with her doctor on her weight loss issues.  Her doctor suggested she keep a journal of what she was eating.  When she returned for a follow-up visit, he told her the issue was she wasn't eating enough; she was skipping breakfast, eating a small lunch and a big dinner.  The doctors suggestion, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snack in between. He told my co-worker she should be eating about every 3 hours.

Now what should breakfast look like?  Under the instruction of a nutritionist, breakfast should be high vibrational foods grown above ground on trees or plants.  Basically fruits and veggies, yes veggies, preferably something green and leafy or a salad let's just say.  

Drinking water is very important as well, staying hydrated is essential for your body, skin, health, so many benefits to good old H20.

Now here at Epiphany Essentials we do not believe in diets, we do believe in eating foods in moderation.  Some foods we suggest steering clear of are pork and beef in excessive amounts, if you can give them up completely that would be awesome.  Meat is something that we don't need in our diets on a daily basis.  Many people consider it as a source of protein however plants, beans, and other grains can be a source of protein and even fiber.

So, on your road to weight loss maybe consider eating more.  Skipping breakfast causes your body to go into starvation mode and store fat.
