Geneva’s Great Tree Lighting and Christmas Walk
At 6 p.m. on Friday, Santa Lucia arrives by horse-drawn carriage and Santa arrives to open the Gingerbread House. Enjoy carolers, the Great Tree lighting, roasted chesnuts, Swedish cookies, an old-fashioned candy cane pull and shopping. Five homes will also be decorated for the holiday and offer self-guided tours on Friday and Saturday. Naperville Park District Santa House
Santa's little house on the Naperville Riverwalk will be occupied by Santa from Dec. 4-Dec. 20. Hours vary. Kids can visit with Santa and have their photo taken. Check Web site for details.

Winter Lights Festival

Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting
The Forest Park Chamber of Commerce's annual Holiday Walk features live-action store window displays, Santa and his reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, a marshmallow roast, caroling, merchant open house, face painting, music and more.

2nd Annual Lincoln Square Christkindl Market
The second annual event will feature German food served under a heated tent; vendors selling crafts, jams and chocolates; holiday music from choral groups during the day, with rock and jazz at night; and a Kids Korner with arts and crafts, entertainment and gingerbread making.
