FINANCIAL FREEDOM FRIDAY'S - TIS THE SEASON TO BE FINANCIALLY WISE!

Tis' the Season to be JOLLY, not stressed, frustrated or depressed.  While we here at Epiphany Essentials don't personally believe in the Christmas "holiday" we do observe it and understand that important to many, however, again.....Tis' the Season to be Jolly.

While this is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year it seems to have the opposite effect on many before and after the actual date of December 25th.

The day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, people are in lines waiting for hours to buy items, pushing, shoving, sometimes even trampling each other the day after Thanksgiving! For what? to save on deals for material items that mean absolutely NOTHING!

The same goes for Christmas.  Parents, family, and friends stress themselves out searching for the perfect gifts to give/buy and often times people go into DEBT in order to ensure someone has a Merry Christmas.

Gift giving is great, however, we here are pushing financial literacy.  Going into debt for the Christmas holiday and starting the New Year in debt is not wise or financially savvy.

While it is too late here are some tips on how to have a Merry, Jolly Christmas next year without the debt:

  • Start a Christmas Fund, put away a certain amount of money when you get paid for Christmas shopping
  • Buy items when you see them on sale, you can purchase Christmas gifts at any time of the year
  • Set a budget and stick to it for Christmas gifts
  • Do not purchase ANY gifts using a CREDIT CARD
  • Cash is King, use it wisely
  • Buy realistic and reasonably priced items for your children so their expectations aren't too high if there is a year that you can do as much as before
  • Start shopping early, as early as possible as in item 2 buy things when they are on sale

Also please remember the best gift you can give someone is your time or items that will last them a lifetime.  Its always the thought that counts not the price of the item.

Think about giving unconventional gifts for Christmas:

  • Bank account (savings - start your children on the right track)
  • Life Insurance policies
  • Stocks
  • Bonds
Give gifts that will pay out, provide a return, and be useful for years to come.

There are 26 days left in this year, make it count!!!!!!

You may have experienced disappointment, lack, set backs, loss etc. Nevertheless, you are still here, life goes on, and you must Take Charge, OWN your Life, and be in CONTROL. ~ Epiphany Essentials Management ‪#‎DreamsToRealityEmpowermentEvent‬ Coming Soon
