Yes, You read it right, Its YOU not It! You control your day from beginning to end everyday. It all starts when you first wake up in the morning.
If you woke up with a woe as me attitude, another day of the grind, here I go again, oh my goodness there is so much to do and so little time, state of mind chances are you will get out of today the same thing you got out of yesterday, a day filled with “bad luck”, unfortunate experiences, dread, unhappiness etc.
Why? Because you have already set your mind that you can’t do something and that it won’t be a good day. Then when someone cuts you off in traffic, you break your heel, your kids are just unruly and don’t want to get dressed; the first thing that comes to your mind is I knew today was going to be a bad day!
Instead, I encourage you to wake up with thanksgiving and gratitude, taking time to clear your mind and just confess that Today will be a great day. If by chance and obstacle comes your way, I dare you to say in spite of IT, I am still going to have a great day!
Of course, it won’t change what happened but then again if it has already happened, you can’t change it anyway! What you can do is control how you respond and react to the obstacles that you face today. Vent, get angry, complain, pout and fuss if you want to for 15 minutes after that let it go, don’t bring it up again, talk or think about it. Time is the most precious resource that doesn’t regenerate, once gone you can’t get it back.
So if your day started out “wrong” or is going back, check yourself because after all Its You, Not It!/em>>
