Many people say, I want to have a successful ___________ fill in the name or idea of your business. Then they leave it at that. Great, we all want to have a successful business or career, however, what does that mean? Be specific.
What does your successful business look like? How much money will you make monthly? How many clients will you have? How many hits will you have on your blog or website? How many seminars/workshops will you facilitate? How many participants will be in each of them?
Write the vision and make it plain, be specific. Its like hearing one say I want to be rich. Well what does rich mean to you? What will you have? What will you be able to do?
Be specific. When we interviewed Charrise Gordon, CEO of Toast, a mobile bartending service, she said one of the things she regrets is not having a plan in the beginning. We wrote about a business plan earlier this month, however, this goes deeper than a business plan. This is the specific goal for your business in the first 6 months, year, then 5 years. Plan your business out for at least the first 5 years.
Of course things will change, need to be altered, you need some flexibility in your plan, however you need a SPECIFIC plan.
Peace, Love, Joy, Abundance, Health, Happiness, Success,
and Vitality, Namaste!
