HOW TO BECOME A POWERFUL NEGOTIATOR

I saw this article in my Twitter feed and wanted to share.  I think back to a job I had in the past.  When I started working the Administrative Assistant to the Director was on a mission to find the Director a debate class.  I was knew to the organization and didn't realize the Director was just like the Meryl Streep's character in Devil Wears Prada.   So, I began the search, however, I specifically asked are you sure she doesn't want to take a class on negotiating?  

 After all it was a sales organization, our organization shouldn't debate to gain customers there should be some healthy negotiations happening.  After much push back, and back and forth the Director finally gave up her search for a debate class.  She shouldn't have been looking for one in the first place.
