Financial Freedom Friday's - Go to sleep and wake up to $$$$

I replied to the following Facebook status: "All this money to be made out here and you're sleep."  My response was "I make money while I'm sleeping."  The response to my post was the crying, laughing emoticon.

However, it's not a laughing matter.  There is a difference between earning and making money.  We wrote a book, every time we sell a book we could be asleep or awake however we aren't exerting much effort to sale that book.   We have a conference coming up, when people buy tickets, we could very well be asleep.  We have investments, real estate, stocks, bonds etc.  When those increase in value, we've made money and we could have very well been sleeping. 

Do you know the difference between earning money and making money? Do you make money as well as earn it? Making money is when you put your money to work and let it work for you.  Banks make money.
