Be a Blessing and Be Blessed

There are a lot of people in the world that say they are blessed and/or are expecting to be blessed and receive blessings.


Some of us struggle in certain areas, we want to receive but we do not want to give. We want others to do for us but we don't want to do anything for anybody else. We do not want to offer our time, money or resources to others yet we are expecting and waiting on something.


Some feel they do not have anything to give. If you can put a smile on your face and open your mouth and say please and thank you, you have something to give. Those acts alone can bless someone in a way that you never imagined.


In America we have a me and mine mentality. One rapper said I gotta get mine you gotta get yours. Why is it that we cannot get ours together? There is not one person on the face of this earth that became successful on their own. There is the saying I scratch your back and you scratch mine that is fine in certain circumstances but that should not be the only time that you choose to do something for someone else.


When one gives glady, from their heart without any pretenses or expectations they shall receive their just reward. The bible says in Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.


So in order to reap you must first sow. In order to receive you must first give. In order to be blessed, be a blessing.
