WRITE THE VISION

Every year at the beginning of the year you probably have a new vigor and enthusiasm proclaiming this is a New Year, this is My Year! You start off at full steam the first few weeks of the year but by February you are back where you were talking about your wishes, hopes, and dreams but not acting upon them.

Write the vision and make it plain. I read an article years back that said, people who wrote down their goals were more likely to achieve them.

So whatever it is you want to do in 2010 write it down. Write down your goals, wishes, dreams and desires for 2010. Think big and realistic at the same time. Once you write down your goals break them down into obtainable action items. Things that need to be completed little by little to attain your larger goal.

I also read in an article, people who share their dreams/goals with others are less likely to achieve them because in speaking about them one feels that their goals have in some way already been met.

There is no need to tell people about your goals and your dreams unless you need their assistance on achieving them.

It is better to keep quiet as showing is better than telling. The time is now, the moment is here, action is necessary to move forward talk less/do more!

By all means enlist the assistance or help of a mentor someone who has achieved the very success you desire in whatever area it may be i.e saving money, weight loss, starting a business etc.

By all means learn as much as you can about whatever it is you desire to do. The more knowledge you have in the area the better equipped you become for success. Give everything that you attempt 100% of your effort.

Risk is necessary, you may not succeed at everything you attempt but a lesson will be learned from it!

God's desire is that we continually progress, that we reach higher heights and go to new levels. Oftentimes, as soon as we make the decision to step out in faith and obey God, the enemy brings in fear to try to stop us.

He'll bring thoughts like, "What if you fail? What are other people going to think? You don't have what it takes." He'll do his best to use fear to try to convince us to shrink back and stay where we are.

The Bible says that fear is a spirit.

It plays on our emotions and holds us back. But the good news is that we have power over fear!

The Bible says that perfect love casts out all fear. When we receive God's perfect love, we will have confidence about the future because we know His plans are for our good. I've heard it said that fear is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real.

Understand that fear is a lie.

Today, choose to believe God's Word and receive His love so that you can overcome fear and move forward into the good life He has prepared for you in 2010!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
