Wellness Wednesday's - Minerals Matter Too!

Magnesium is one of the most important minerals to the body. It promotes the absorption and metabolizing of other minerals, including sodiumpotassium, phosphorus, andcalcium. This means magnesium is crucial to proper hydration, acid-alkaline balance, and muscle contractions, including the heart.

We are often told and educated on the importance of taking vitamin supplements, yet rarely are we educated on the necessity and importance of MINERALS.  Minerals and vitamins work together for our overall health.

Conversely, consuming too much magnesium typically causes diarrhea as the body attempts to excrete the excess. High magnesium foods include dark leafy greens, nuts, seeds, fish, beans, whole grains, avocados, yogurt, bananas, dried fruitdark chocolate, and more. The current daily value (DV) for magnesium is 400mg. Finish reading here at Top 10 foods with Magnesium.
