RELATIOHNSHIP WEDNESDAYS - UNMET EXPECTATIONS

Unmet Expectations

Ok ladies and gentleman this is something I am going to attempt to do every week from now on. We are going to post a topic regarding relationships. The 1st topic to kick this off is Unmet Expectations.

“A woman on twitter tweeted that they are tired of the opposite sex not meeting their expectations. A man responded back to her that we choose the wrong men.”

My first question is, is it possible that a woman’s expectations are too high? That just made me think about someone whom called into Power 1390 and they were talking about relationships. I can’t remember if it was a male or female but their comment went like this ‘if a woman expects a man to have a 6 figure income, good credit, home, established etc. a man/that man has that same expectation for the woman.’

I think a lot of women have expectations for men that they cannot meet themselves. Meaning there are a lot of women who think they are women and think they know what it takes to be a woman yet they aren’t it!

There is a saying that you attract what you give off/what you are. While many of us are out here perpetrating and pretending to be something we aren’t, our spirits never lie. The aura around us never lies and it attracts to us just what we are. Of course this won’t be all men that try to date us or vice versa but if you are continuing to date the same kind of guy it may be time to take a hard look in the mirror.

Ok back to these expectations. What is it that the woman expects from the man? What does she have to offer the man? What is it that you expect from a man? What do you have to offer him?

It is easy for us to look outside of ourselves and blame the man for not meeting our expectations it is difficult for us to look inside ourselves and examine even our motives for dating.

Your thoughts??????? High Expectations, Wrong Choices, both or a little of this and that?

THE LORD WILL PROVIDE (JEHOVAH JIREH)

Many Christians have heard this and many Christians say this often. That God is their provider, way maker and sustainer.

So why is it when the bank account has less money than the amount of bills we just received that we get down and out and discouraged? Why is it when things aren't going our way, when we've just lost a job, been laid off do we begin to worry about how we are going to make it?

When we profess/confess that the Lord Will Provide that He is Jehovah Jireh we must believe it. It doesn't matter what the situation looks like because we walk by faith and not by sight! We must continue to confess and speak the Word only that the Lord Will Provide for He said it in His Word and thank the heavens that God is not like man and he cannot lie.

So your assignment (some may call it a job) is a resource that the Source has given to you. However, God is still your one and only Source and supplies all of your needs according to His Glorious riches. No where in the Word does it say that I know of that your Job Will Supply All YOUR NEEDS. It say that the LORD WILL SUPPLY ALL OF YOUR NEEDS!

So wherever you are in life right now the Lord has always provided for you, He has kept you and gotten you through this far and He will continue to do so as He is the same yesterday, today and forever!

God loves you, God is love, God is your father and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

YOU DON'T HAVE A JOB!

I was blessed to attend the Winter Faith Conference at Living Word Christian Center, Pastor Bill Winston.

Let me tell you the spirit was in that place every night (of course because its in the people) and we worshipped. We also had a great teaching on faith and finances.

So I want to share with you some things that Bill Winston said that stuck out to me that I had never heard put in this way. You may have heard them before but I have not....

  • "You do not work a job, you are on an assignment" As Christians there is a reason why God places us somewhere and we must let our light shine and fulfill the assignment that God has placed us on
  • "We all know and believe that God is our Source"...So stop looking at your paycheck or your current salary and thinking that is the only money you have. You have access to the Most High God that owns everything and can bless you how he sees fit.
  • "Fear is faith in the devil"
  • "Faith operates in a higher realm than time and faith is right now. You do not have to be a slave to time."

If you want to know more you can visit their website and purchase the DVD of the Conference. It was 3 power packed days of 6 hours of teaching that was truly phenomenal!
