We were paid on Friday, its Tuesday, overheard quite a few coworkers saying they are broke. One of the reasons I do Financial Freedom Friday's....
"Broke" is a term one should NEVER use when referring to their financial state. People truly aren't living check to check these days, they are living check to Monday. We have to do better.
I remember years ago I was working with someone who would use their check at the 1st or end of the month to cover rent, utilities etc. If you are one of those people, dare I make a suggestion.
Break your bills up in half unless you're paid monthly. What do I mean. If your rent is $900. When you're paid in the middle of the month, budget $450 for your rent. Place it in a savings or an account that you will not touch. When you're paid again at the end of the month budget the other $450 for the remaining part. Doing something as simple as that can save many people.
Too many believe they have "extra" money out of one check only to end up living check to Monday when the 1st of the month comes. Other bills may be broken up this way as well. That's how I break up my car note payment, actually I send a little over 1/2 to a separate account and that money covers my car note and insurance. The money is then drafted automatically out of my account.
Its time to increase our wealth and live beyond check to check and definitely beyond check to Monday!
