Every month a group I'm apart of Women Who Work It, have a guest speaker, this month's speaker was Gregory Stanton of The Catalyst Center.  He brought a glimpse of who he is and what his business does to our Women's entrepreneurial group.  He said something that stuck with me.

People must learn the difference between a poverty and prosperity mindset.  One cannot expect prosperity if they have a poverty mindset.  Many are so conditioned they don't realize they have a poverty mindset.

In a recent conversation, a good friend learned to solidify their business on paper among other things, they must secure a license that cost $4,400.  Then my friend said that is a lot of money.  No, its simply $4,400 and looking at it as a lot of money makes it a mountain or giant in her life.  If I were to agree that it is a lot of money, at that point, we are both using a POVERTY mindset.  Its simply 4,400.  Now whether the friend has the money or not is a different story.

This makes me think of a quote by Robert Kiyosaki, instead of saying I can't afford ________ say "how can I afford ______"!  This gets the mind going and focused on a solution and not the problem.

My sister and I are taking our sons to Disney World.  It is a surprise for my son, he doesn't know we are going yet.  We are looking for discounted tickets to the theme parks.  With a simple google click I've been able to find numerous sources with discounted, deep discounted tickets.  I'm not phased or worried about getting tickets at a price we want to pay.

Yet again, in speaking with my sister about ticket prices, she said that is a lot of money.  No, its not a lot of money.  No amount of money is a lot of money. If its not in your budget, fine.  If it is not what you want to spend, fine.  However, one must change their thinking in order to change their life and also their bank account!

Do you have a poverty or prosperity mindset?

There are 282 days left in this year, make them count!!!!!!

You may have experienced disappointment, lack, set backs, loss etc. Nevertheless, you are still here, life goes on, and you must Take Charge, OWN your Life, and be in CONTROL. ~
