T.E.A.C.H. SUCCESS THURSDAYS ~ Education Doesn't Stop When The School Bell Rings!

Through Education All Can Have Success Thursdays

Many of us as adults, parents and students make the critical mistake of thinking that the school system is providing a full education to those enrolled. 
 

In reality most schools only teach enough to make the student a sufficient laborer or executive assistant in the case of college. Of course this does not apply to skilled trades such as Doctors, Lawyers, Dentist and the likes. If you disagree consider this, what class is Financial Management, Entrepreneurship or Professional Etiquette taught in? What class encourages you to learn multiple languages as our foreign counter parts do, so that we can compete in a global society?

I have a business associate that lives in Brazil. He speaks 4 languages fluently (Portuguese, his native language, French, English and Spanish). He has lived in France for a year and traveled abroad to other countries as well. All of this and he is only in his early 20's! While in the United States we are not encouraged to compete at this level.

Consider this the next time your child spends 8 hours on the XBOX or you watch the latest reality shows all night. Education is an ongoing event!

Personal Development, Languages, Financial Management, Entrepreneurship and more should be implemented as a daily regimen. My children have a routine for after school that includes Math, reading Entrepreneurship books, planning a candy store business for the summer, Public Speaking and Home Economics and more to come.

You don't have to be a master of any of these, but at least try. The internet is always there as a support system!
